Daily Deals Widget: Rise of The 300×250

After the staggering response to our Deal Page widget, we thought it was only right to shrink it down into an MPU sized version for those of you who want a solution that is a little more compact.

You can generate your code here. You’ll need to use the same API Key that you were given when you previously requested it. If you’ve lost your API key or haven’t requested one yet, just drop us an email and ask!

Many of you were asking if you can use these tools on different websites with the same code; the short answer is yes, however, there was no way for you to differentiate between sales coming from the different sites. To solve this, we’ve added in a ‘clickref’ field which you can use when generating your code.

What is a clickref?

clickref

Let’s say you have two websites and you want to place the deal page widget on both of them, but you also want to be able to see which website is driving the most sales. Previously, this wasn’t possible, however we’ve now tweaked the widget a little so that you can generate two sets of code – one for each website – with different clickrefs e.g. ‘Site1‘ ‘Site2

This means you can then go to “Click References” under the reporting tab in Affiliate Window and see statistics for each individual clickref.

IT’S NO GOOD, IF NOBODY REPLIES TO MY EMAILS WITH API KEY, I CAN’T USE IT YET!!!!!

  2. Eric Stewart says:

Hi, will it be possible to publish a widget the same size as the rounded corner divs on this page?

    Thanks

    • Bill says:

Hi Eric. We have a widget available for affiliates which is almost the same size as the one on the right-hand side of our blog; Over there somewhere —->

I’ve sent through the code you’ll need to the email address you posted this comment with.

Hi, is it possible to adjust the width to 220px to suit our website? thanks

  4. Lucia says:

    Hi Bill,
Could I use this within our newsletter?

    • Bill says:

Hi Lucia. This won’t work in a newsletter I’m afraid. iFrames aren’t supported by most email clients as it can pose a bit of a security risk.
